Couch & Associates have implemented an array of gated form solutions. A gated form is a form that a user interested in your company must pass through to gain access to your companies marketing assets. These assets can be whitepapers, specialized web pages or any other content accessible through your company web site. The gate may consist of one or many different forms requesting user information.
Couch & Associates will integrate your gated form solution with any database system you use to store user information. This includes integrations with Eloqua®, Salesforce.com® and any other automation systems your organization may use.
The typical interactions between a user and a gated form are illustrated and described below. To see a demo of an advanced gated form solution right now

The gated form approach to collecting information works as described:
 |
Step 1: The user makes a request to see a marketing asset from your corporate website. |
Step 2: The user is then asked to provide information to the website via an HTML form. |
 |
 |
Step 3: The user fills out the information requested and sends it back to the website. |
Step 4: The website then sends this data to a corporate database. This may be an external database such as Eloqua® or Salesforce.com®. |
 |
 |
Step 5: The user is then granted access to the marketing asset they intially requested. |

This advanced gated form functions as follows:
- If you are not recognized, it will request your email address. This will occur again in the future if you are not recognized based on the email in your cookie.
- Once you are identified for the first time you will have to answer a short question.
- You are then redirected to the marketing asset you requested. In this case, a whitepaper on Couch & Associates Eloqua Consulting Services.
- The next time you request this asset, you will be asked a new short question. This will happen once more the next time you request an asset.
- Finally, the fourth time you request this marketing asset you will be asked to fill out a long form. From this point forward you will be given access to the marketing asset directly.
This staggered approach to collecting information from your users provides a fair exchange for the information they are requesting. Notice the image of the first page of the whitepaper in the background, it shows the user what they are trying to access - giving them more incentive to fill out the short question to gain access to it.
